Malika Mowinski has been dancing since the age of 3. She studied tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary and ballroom in her hometown of Windsor, Ontario. A competitive dancer since the age of 10, she was a proud member of Dance Barre’s elite company, and most recently York University’s Dance Energy team.

Malika has been honing her craft for many years – taking every opportunity to learn from new choreographers and grow in technique and choreographic skills. She attended Interlochen summer program, BalletMet Columbus, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Rockettes Summer Intensive, Motor City Tap Festival and The Dance Sessions.
Now living in Toronto, Malika studied at York University’s dance program and will be entering Canada’s National Ballet Teacher Training program in the fall. She was a member of Echo Dance Company in Toronto, works at the Toronto Dance Theatre and The Underground Dance Studio. Malika’s choreography has twice been selected to perform at “Fever After Dark”, a premier event for a new generation of emerging choreographers and dancers.
