Sarah Nilsen is originally from Saskatoon and began dancing at a local competitive studio at the age of five. Throughout the years she has trained in many styles of dance and has experience in Cecchetti, RAD and Vaganova ballet techniques. In addition to training in Saskatoon she also spent multiple years training intensively in professional schools across Canada including; Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, The Quinte Ballet School of Canada and The School of Alberta Ballet.
This has given her the opportunity to experience many teaching methods/styles, which has helped shape her into the teacher she is today. Sarah has taught and choreographed in a variety of different dance schools within Saskatoon and the GTA for dancers of all ages of students. Always aiming to teach with a positive, energetic and technically focused approach. She is currently enrolled at Canada’s National Ballet School in the Teacher Training Program where she is expanding her knowledge and skills as a dance educator.
