Emilia Demski
Emilia was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario and has been dancing since the age of five. After starting out in ballet, jazz, and tap, at a young age Emilia came across Riverdance on television and fell in love with the traditional Irish dance form. Since then, Emilia trained, performed and competed both locally and internationally in Irish Dance for thirteen years. Throughout her Irish dancing career, Emilia has worked her way up to the top championship level through training and workshops with some of the best Irish dancers in the Irish Dance community allowing her to excel and thrive on the Local, National, and International stages.
Emilia majored in Drama/Theatre at the Etobicoke School of the Arts where she had the opportunity to develop as both an actress and dancer. With her passion for both art forms, Emilia had the delight of taking part in many Dance and Theatre productions during her four years at ESA.
Emilia is currently an Undergraduate Student at York University as well as a Dance Instructor at Gotta Dance Inc. Emilia joined the GDI team in August of 2008, and has had the pleasure of both
assisting and teaching Jazz, Jazz-Acro, Tap, and Irish Dance classes. As a dance instructor Emilia hopes to motivate and inspire her students to thrive and grow as dancers and experience the love for the art form that she has had the privilege to experience herself.
