Tia Verdoni
Tia has been strongly trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Acro, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and Hip hop.
She started dance at the age of 5 and started competing when she was just 6 years old. She had
competed for 11 years all across Canada and the U.S.A winning many awards and achievements
as an individual as well as in her group routines.
Tia pursued her education and was accepted to study at George Brown College where she took the Commercial Dance program. This program consisted of various dance classes as well as vocal and acting classes. Tia is definitely no stranger to the stage, soon after she was accepted to George Brown College she was then asked to join a Musical Theatre troupe that performed across Toronto.
Tia still pursues her dance education by taking classes/workshops with extremely popular, if not famous choreographers, most recent dance workshops being “The Pulse 2011” where she had been taught by Tyce Diorio and Brian Friedman, Cris Judd and Gil Duldulao. Another workshop Tia pursued was the” Dance Teachers Summit 2010” in Manhattan, New York. She studied with Mandy Moore, Sheila Barker and The “Doctor of Jazz” Frank Hatchett.
Her passion for dance has not only lead her to perform, but she believes that it has also lead her to her destiny, teaching. Students see Tia as a dance teacher, mentor and motivator. She strives to provide her students with all the knowledge of dance she has learned over the years and all the knowledge she is still continuing to learn.
