Ivor Picou

Operations Director

Ivor spent over 30 years in Arts and Education. He began in the Caribbean as an actor and musician and continued when he settled in Toronto.

He studied theatre dance and music at York University and emerged with a BFA Bachelor of Fine Arts. He worked with several Theatre companies in Toronto including Theatre Fountainhead, Toronto Arts Production, Theatre in The Rough and Black Theatre Canada. His most recent Gig was the stage manager on tour to the Carifesta Festival by the C-CAN (Canadian Caribbean Arts Network) Ivor is also an accomplished musician whose main instrument is the Steeldrum. He has performed with several bands around the city and in the annual Caribana parade.

Ivor attended University of Toronto where he completed A Bachelor of Education. He taught Drama and Music in the TDSB (Toronto District School Board) for over 20 years. He has since retired and devotes his time to the support and mentorship of young artists and pushing his musical boundaries.
