Our dance program creates a solid foundation and prepares students to dance all types of classical and modern dances.
Lyrical classes combine elements of jazz, modern, and ballet dance to create unique works of art. Characterized by its fluid and graceful movements, routines tell a 'story' and capture the emotion and interpretation of the music.
Hip Hop Dance
This program is a high-energy dance experience that is fun for dancers of all ages. It combines funky dance movements performed to trendy hip hop music. It is a refined form of street dance that is similar to the movements seen in music videos and the entertainment industry.
Acro is a style of dance that combines traditional jazz dance technique with precision acrobatic tricks.
Break dancing originated in the Bronx, NYC in the 70s, with innovations from present funk and party dance expressed in the cypher (dance circle). The revolution of engaging both legs and arms to create lower level movements and patterns quickly established Breaking as a new dynamic dance form
Dancers are taught the basics and fundamentals of dance through ballet. The dancer develops poise and self-confidence through this graceful art form. Dancers are trained according to the Cecchetti methods. Cecchetti graded classes as well as examinations are available.
Students in jazz classes will learn proper technique (including jumps and turns) while developing style and confidence to perform on the stage.
This program incorporates rhythm, timing, and coordination. Dancers will learn and acquire basic, progressive, and intricate tap skills. Tap dancing allows dancers to make music with their feet by performing rhythm-based tap choreography.
